A template is meant to concisely identify the main points of a business model in one simple diagram. There are usually 9 key components of a business model canvas:

  • Key Partners
    Two commercial entities that have formed a business alliance.
  • Key Activities
    Things that are done in order to add value
  • Primary Resources
    Original Materials
  • Client Relationship
    A relationship that a business has with its clients and the way in which it treats its clients.  An innovation, service, or feature intended to make a company or product attractive to customers.
  • Value propositions typically set 2 businesses that deal in the same business niche apart from one another.
  • Cost Structure
    The aggregate of various types of costs, fixed and variable, that make up a business’s overall expenses.
  • Channels
    They are how a company communicates with and reaches its customer segments. Channels are typically direct or indirect and have 5 phases;Awareness, Evaluation, Purchase, Delivery, and After Sales.
  • Revenue Streams
    A particular means by which a company or individual generates revenue on an ongoing basis.
